Trustees agree to lease termination

Ewing Village Board of Trustees agreed to an early lease termination for a duplex unit. The action item was discussed during the May 12 board meeting at city hall.

Trustee Jeremy Tuttle suggested a walk-through with the current tenant be completed, and the unit will be available for rent June 1.

Trustee Katie Cunningham said information about the rental needs to include clear pricing.

"People think rent is similar to Bauer Memorial Homes," she said.

Duplex rental is not based on income. Water is included in the rental price, and mowing is provided. Pets are not allowed.
