Area communities plan Memorial Day observances

Memorial Day programs will be held in each Summerland community, Monday, May 26.

Clearwater

At 10:30 a.m., a program will be held at the Elkhorn River Bridge and will feature music by the Summerland band.

The cemetery program will begin at 10:45 a.m. Chuck Thiele will be the speaker and Curtis Bolling will sing.

American Legion Post 267 members will comprise the firing squad and play taps.

In case of inclement weather, the program will be held at the Clearwater American Legion.

A chicken dinner will follow at the Legion. A freewill donation will be accepted.
