New heights • Surrounded by family, Summerland senior Bailey Ahlers inked a letter of intent with Wayne State College. Ahlers, a track and field standout, will compete on the Wildcats track and field team as a high jumper.
"I'm looking forward to the challenge," Ahlers told SAM.
Ahlers is a three-time state qualifier. In 2023, she finished ninth after clearing 5 feet. Last year, she cleared 5' 3 inches and returned home with a silver medal.
