New leash law in effect in Ewing

A new dog ordinance will be in effect for Ewing village residents who own canines.

Village clerk Jennifer Ramold said a letter sent to dog owners did not contain language regarding having dogs on a leash.

Police Chief John Shaver said he "ran into an issue with that."

"There is no village ordinance for a leash," he said. "If there's no leash law, how am I supposed to enforce it?"
