Golf team finishes fifth at districts

Michael Koenig is the lone Bobcat golfer to qualify for the state tournament.

He placed ninth after carding an 81 at district golf, held May 14, in Hartington.

State play was scheduled to begin at 9 a.m., May 21, but due to a round of severe thunderstorms, was changed to a one-day, 18-hole tournament, which will begin Wednesday, May 22, at 9 a.m., in Columbus.

At districts, the Bobcats shot 352 and finished fifth in team standings.

Other Bobcat competitors included Dylan Rotherham, 86; Dane Miller, 90; Sam Cheatum, 93; and Kelton Bruhn, 104....
