I would like to express my support for our teachers and coaches/sponsors at Summerland Public Schools. I want you to know, as a parent, I have the utmost confidence in your abilities to continue to teach our children. My trust is in your hands to continue with your jobs. Even though things at the top seem to be in disarray, I need you to PLEASE hang in there! Have confidence in your own abilities to continue doing what you are doing ... providing our kids with a great education.

Things might seem uneasy right now, but our kids need some kind of stability in their school and you can give them that! Show our kids that even in times of uncertainty, you have their backs. You are the ones making a difference in their lives.

As far as extracurricular activities go ....I think they speak for themselves. Our student athletes and members of our student organizations have had a tremendous school year so far, due to the caring dedication of our coaches and sponsors. Girls' volleyball...made it to state, boys' football ... made it to second-round playoffs, girls' basketball ... played in district finals, boys' basketball ... made it to state, boys' wrestling ... three state qualifiers, girls' wrestling ... four state qualifiers/two medalists, speech ... one state qualifier, FFA ... multiple state convention qualifiers. Let's not forget to mention girls' and boys' track, golf, SkillsUSA FCCLA, FBLA and quiz bowl. Looks to me like they are all doing their jobs!

Do not let our children down, do not let us parents down, keep up the good work and keep pushing through. Our kids need you! We, as parents, need you!
