February 26, 2024

The Board of Trustees of the Village of Clearwater met for a public hearing Monday, Feb. 26, at 6:30 p.m., in the fire hall meeting room. Purpose of the hearing was to consider liquor license additions for The Waterhole and American Legion and a new liquor license for Two Bills Steakhouse. Hearing opened at 6:31 p.m. Notice of hearing was given in advance by publication in “Summerland Advocate-Messenger,” was posted at US Post Office in Clearwater, Clearwater Market and Cornerstone Bank-Clearwater and was given to board members prior to meeting. Public was informed of location of Open Meeting Act poster.

Present: Kelly Kerkman, Marsha Hart, Cody Kester, Jeff Schlecht, Brian King. Others present: Angie Hupp.

Discussion held regarding application of The Waterhole to add a permanent enclosed outdoor beer garden behind the bar located at 510 Main St.

Discussion held regarding application of American Legion Post 267 to add the café building and a permanent enclosed outdoor beer garden located at 509 Main St.

No discussion was held regarding a new liquor license for Two Bills Steakhouse because the paperwork was not received before the hearing. Another hearing will be rescheduled for the regular meeting on March 11.

Hearing adjourned at 6:34 p.m.
