Summerland speech students have competed in three invites since Feb. 17 and several students have placed in finals.

At the Battle Creek Invite, on Feb. 17, Alanna Doll placed fifth in informative speaking in the next-in finals and 11th in overall event standings.

On Wednesday, Feb. 21, the team traveled to Stuart for the Niobrara Valley Conference meet. Three students received medals.

Doll ended fifth in informative speaking.

Brandon Pruden placed sixth in humorous prose.

In persuasive speaking, Carlee Livingston ended sixth.

Lutheran High Northeast hosted an invite on Friday, Feb. 23.

Doll was the lone Bobcat medalist. She finished fourth in informative speaking.

The team will travel to Creighton, Saturday, for the Creighton Invite.

On Tuesday, March 5, they will host an open house at school, with performances set to begin at 7 p.m.
