The regular monthly meeting of the Village Board of Page was held Monday, Feb. 12, 2024, at the village office. This meeting was conducted in compliance with the Nebraska Open Meetings Act and the Open Meeting Laws are posted at the Village Office.

Chair Linquist called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. Trustees VanEvery, Tyrrell, Campbell and Leichleiter present. Also present: Matt Kellum and Cora Calkins. Absent: None.

Motion by Tyrrell, second by Campbell: approve minutes of the Jan. 19, 2024, regular meeting as presented. Passed: all ayes.

Motion by Campbell, second by Leichleiter to pay claims presented. Passed: Linquist, Tyrrell and Campbell – aye; Leichleiter and VanEvery abstained.

Claims paid:

Gen Fund: Bomgaars, 53.94, gen sup; Brad Kotrous, 625.00, snow removal; ColdType Publishing, 10.00, pub fees; Dana Cole LLC, 2,175.00, prof fees; Great Plains Communications, 135.78, tele/int; Hwy Allocation Savings, 748.00, Feb. match; Intuit, 153.00, QB sub; McNally Law, 150.00, prof fees; Mullenhoff Sales, 6,500.00, snow blade; NCPPD, 685.42, elec; O’Neill Auto, 20.58, parts; Ranchland Auto, 79.35, parts; True AG, 122.38, parts; Visa, 227.46, sup/website fees; IRS payroll taxes, 455.47; Wages, 1,966.90.

Attorney Joe McNally entered meeting at 7:44 p.m.

Actions taken:

Ordinance enforcement – kennel licenses: Motion by Tyrrell, second by Leichleiter, to have McNally notify parties in noncompliance that action will commence on April 1, 2024, if still in noncompliance. Passed - all ayes.

Attorney McNally exited meeting at 8:15 pm.

2024 Complete Pest Elimination contract: Motion by Campbell, second by Tyrrell, to contract for the summer of 2024. Passed - all ayes.

Resolution 03-2024 Setting New Garbage Collection Rates (effective 2/1/24) – was presented as follows:

Setting New Garbage Collection Rates

BE IT RESOLVED by the Chairman and Village Board of the Village of Page, Nebraska:

SECTION 1: That from and after this date, the following monthly rates shall be established for garbage collection within the Village:

Senior Citizen: $19.00

Regular Residential: $23.00

Large Business: $95.00 -1.5 yd.

$125.00 - 2 yd.

$115.00- 2 yd (emptied monthly)

Additional Can: $8.00 each

SECTION 2. That all resolutions or ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

Motion by Campbell, second by Tyrrell, to adopt Resolution 03-2024 as presented. Passed - all ayes.

Additional street lights – Motion by Leichleiter, second by Tyrrell to take action to add lighting at 4th and Summit and 8th and Victor Rd. Passed - all ayes.

Motion by Campbell, second by Leichleiter, to adjourn. Passed - all ayes.
