"It's our 36th year and we want to spend it someplace fun and rider friendly," said Charlie Schilling, with Tour de Nebraska.

This year's route, scheduled for June 25 to 30, includes the communities of Bassett, Sprinview, Ainsworth and Valentine and will total 265 miles.

The first leg of the trip is a 61-mile jaunt from Springview, heading east and then looping around to Bassett.

On day two, riders will travel 56 miles to Ainsworth and will have an option to travel a 93-mile route, which includes a route southwest of Ainsworth.

Day three will feature a jaunt from Brown County to Valentine, a 47-mile route.

On day four, an optional route, covering 53 miles is available, as is a 19-mile option which includes three bridges.

The final trek will cover 38 miles, taking riders back to Springview.

"We were inspired by the beautiful Nebraska Sandhills and the Niobrara National scenic River. This area is also a destination for outdoor activities, with welcoming and charming hospitality and friendly locals," Schilling said.

Tour de Nebraska features a double format, with two nights in Valentine, the hometown to ride sponsor Bolo Brewing Co.

"Come ride with us and take in some inspiring landscapes, homegrown brewery, kayaking/tubing opportunities and hospitality only found in western Nebraska," Schilling said.
