Judge issues warrant for Oklahoma man

The Honorable Mark Kozisec, on Nov. 6, in the Holt County district courtroom in O’Neill, signed a warrant for the arrest of Jeffrey F. Kale, 31, of Yukon, Oklahoma. Kozisec ordered a new bond of $10,000, 10% cash.
Kale had not personally appeared in the Holt County courtroom since his Jan. 13 release from jail on a $2,500 personal recognizance bond. Kozisec had granted several continuances on oral motions made by Holt Public defender Rod Smith. On Aug. 28, and again on Sept. 25, the judge advised Smith that Kale’s failure to appear for his next hearing would result in issuance of a bench warrant. Kale did not appear.
