Lady Cats sweep Creighton, Boyd County

Sweep • Summerland varsity volleyball players throw their hands in the air in victory mode following a win over Creighton. The teams met Sept. 12, in Creighton, for a triangular with Boyd County.
Summerland's varsity volleyball team traveled to Creighton, Sept. 12, and returned home with two wins.
In the first match, the Lady Bobcats controlled Boyd County, winning 25-11 and 25-16.
Adyson Mlnarik recorded 13 kills in the match and Bailey Ahlers landed five strikes on the court, hitting .444.
Junior Sarah Wiese served four aces.
Defensively, Preslie Robertson led Summerland with eight digs. Ella Bolling recorded seven and Talya Nilson added five.
Lydia Robertson added to her assist record, with 16 on the evening.
In the nightcap, Summerland continued its winning ways, downing the Creighton Lady Bulldogs in straight sets, 25-3 and 25-14.
Mlnarik led the offensive attack with 11 kills, while sophomore Caydence Schumacher added half a dozen.
Kelsey Schlect landed four perfect serves.
Mlnarik landed a lone block for the Bobcats and Bolling set the pace for digs, scraping up 14.
The Lady Bobcats were scheduled to play Crofton, Tuesday, Sept. 19. Scores were unavailable before press time.
On Thursday, they will host a junior varsity and varsity triangular with Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family and Stanton.
The Lady Cats will play H/LHF at 5 p.m. and at 7, will face Stanton.
The Bobcats sit at 8-5 on the season.
