Appointments accepted for Orchard, Ewing blood drives

Area residents will have two opportunities to donate blood next week.
On Monday, Sept. 25, donations will be accepted at St. Peter's Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, in Orchard. The blood drive will start at 10:30 a.m. and continue until 4:30 p.m.

Individuals who donate in September will receive a coupon for a free haircut from Sports Clips Haircuts and will be entered in a drawing for a chance to win a trip for two and a VIP NASCAR experience at the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series and Xfinity races at Darlington Raceway.
The Ewing community will host a drive on Tuesday, Sept. 26, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Ewing city hall.

The American Red Cross is experiencing a national blood shortage. Donors of all blood types - especially type O - and platelet donors are urgently needed to ensure patients at hospitals across the country continue to receive critical medical care, organizers said.
