The Honorable Donna Taylor set trial dates in five Antelope County Court cases when she presided at the bench in the Neligh courtroom Sept. 6.

Kami M. Ash, 29, of Wood River faced Taylor for arraignment on a count of driving under revocation, a Class 2 misdemeanor alleged July 21. Ash waived her right to counsel for arraignment proceedings. She pleaded not guilty, telling the judge her license was not suspended on July 21. She asked for a trial to the court, which Taylor set for Oct. 4.

Shane Sleister, 48, of Oakdale is set for trial Nov. 1, on a Village of Oakdale public nuisance charge, alleged Feb. 1. Sleister is self-represented, while the village is represented by Antelope County Attorney Joe Smith.

Gavin Longsdorf, 18, of Neligh appeared on a Class 3 misdemeanor, minor in possession of alcohol, alleged June 24 in Clearwater. His attorney, Mark Albin of Norfolk, asked for the case to be set for trial. He estimated the trial would take one day. Taylor set the case for jury selection and trial Nov. 3.

Zane M. Herley, 23, of Clearwater appeared for pretrial hearing on a count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor (allegedly provided jello alcohol shot to 18-year-old minor), a Class 1 misdemeanor alleged June 24 in Clearwater. Herley’s attorney, public defender Pat Carney, indicated no resolution was on the table and asked Taylor to set the case for trial. Taylor set the trial for Nov. 17, with pretrial hearing Nov. 1.

Kipp V. Polston, 45, of Neligh appeared on a speeding citation. He waived his right to counsel and pleaded not guilty. Trial is set Oct. 4.

Mary Fay Cicero, 24, of Wausau, Wisconsin, failed to appear for the second time, to show cause for not filing waiver nor appearing in court on a May 19 speeding ticket. Smith dismissed the charge.
