Bobcat cross country opens season at Burwell

While Summerland cross country runners failed to make the medalist stand at the Burwell Invite, held Aug. 24, at the Calamus Golf Course, the runners' performances show the potential for a positive season.

Carlee Livingston and Savannah Gallagher ran in the senior girls' division. Livingston completed the course in 21:47.25, finishing in 18th place. Gallagher ended 21st, running 23:36.40.

Zander Cepel finished 25th in the senior boys' division. He ran 18:41.91, slightly four minutes off the lead pace.

Cadence Soper ran 13:13.50 in the junior high girls' division, finishing 30th.

In the junior high boys' division, Jorden Cox finished 16th, in 11:59.50. Kiptyn Belzer ended in 17th place, running 12:01.66.

The high school team will compete at Beemer, Thursday, at 5:30 p.m.
