South Dakota riders win two of three rough stock events

Competitors from across Nebraska and South Dakota converged on Clearwater, July 22, for the third annual Rough Stock Challenge, sponsored by the local chamber of commerce.

Chase YellowHawk, of St. Francis, South Dakota, took the top spot in bareback riding. He scored 76 points.

Whitten Hoover, of Ainsworth, and Spencer Denaeyer, of Seneca, scored 74 points, tying for the second spot.

In the saddle bronc division, Jackson Ford, of Sturgis, South Dakota, took home the first-place prize after scoring 77 points.
