Concordia Lutheran Church members honored the Rev. Daniel Feusse, Sunday, for a quarter century of service to the Clearwater church and community.

Feusse, a Saginaw, Michigan, native, attended Lutheran schools and following graduation, attended Delta Community College. Eventually, he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in accounting from Western Michigan University.

After a decade of working in the business field, Feusse felt a higher calling and enrolled in Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri.

Feusse served as vicar at St. John's Lutheran Church in Stuttgart, Arkansas, for a year, as part of seminary training.

While in Missouri, Feusse met his future wife, Kathy, on a blind date.

Following graduation from the seminary, with a Masters of Divinity Degree, in 1998, Feusse accepted a call to the Clearwater church. He was ordained and installed as pastor Aug. 16, 1998.

The Rev. David Kufahl, current pastor at Our Savior, in Des Moines, Iowa, presented Sunday's homily.

Other area ministers participating in the ordination anniversary ceremony included the Rev. Jerome Leckband, Trinity Lutheran Church, Foster; the Rev. Ryan Janke, St. Peter Lutheran Church, Orchard; and Pastor Norlyn Bartens, Grace Lutheran Church, Neligh.

All of the Feusses' children took part in the ceremony.

Son-in-law, Nathaniel Mars, served as lector. Hannah Mars provided accompaniment on the organ. Matthew and Nathan Feusse were instrumentalists and the group sang a choral selection.

Feusse received a master of sacred theology degree, from Concordia Theological Seiminary, in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, in 2013.
