Funk, Napier top Funfest golf lineup

Nobody walked home $250,000 richer after Sunday's Funfest hole-in-one competition at Summerland Golf Course.

Travis Funk did lay claim to the 2023 title, after landing 21' 3 short of the pin.

Dalton Williby placed second, with 34'; Scott Kester finished third, at 43'; Rita Anson, fourth at 60' 9 and Phill Thramer was fifth, 62' 9.

Sixth place belonged to Eric Koenig, who ended 63' 3 away and Brock Kaczor ended seventh, at 67' 4.

Scott Young, Troy Thramer and Luke Schilousky rounded out the field of competitors. All ended with unmeasurable distances, according to event organizers.

Ewing Young Members Club sponsored the annual putt-for-dough contest.

Three golfers connected on the 10-foot attempt, advancing to the 30-foot shot.

Josh Napier earns the 2023 crown. He missed the second shot by 21 .75".

Brett Kaczor placed second, after missing the 30-foot mark by 61.5".

Koenig placed third, missing the second putt by 128.5".

Golfers finishing in spots four through 10 did not make the 10-foot putt.

Chris DeWald finished fourth, short 3.5"; Schilousky, fifth, 4" shy; Blake Cunningham and Kester tied for sixth, landing 7" away; Mark Ramold placed eight, at 12.75"; Barb Bartak was 20" off, placing ninth and Williby ended 10th, shy by 21.5".
