Thomson misses final cut at state track championships

Trevor Thomson didn't plan on a quick exit from the Nebraska School Activities Association Class C State Track and Field Championships.

The Summerland senior's career came to an end, Friday, after his quest for the finals ended earlier.

Thomson finished 18th in the 100m, running 11.29. To qualify, he needed to finish between 10.69 and 11.04.

In the 200m, Thomson ran 23:30, placing him 11th. To break into finals, he needed to run between 22.10 and 22.79....
