Warrants issued for truant defendants

 


The Honorable Donna Taylor signed a bench warrant May 3 for the arrest of Ronald E. Murray, 59, of Norfolk, with bond set at $1,500, 10% cash. Murray failed to appear in the Antelope County courtroom in Neligh for a hearing April 19.

A previous warrant for Murray’s arrest, issued Aug. 17, 2022, after he failed to appear June 15, 2022, was served April 7 by a Madison County sheriff’s officer and Murray posted a $1,500 personal recognizance bond April 11.

Murray was cited May 5, 2022, by an Antelope County deputy, in Oakdale, for three counts, no proof of financial responsibility, no registration and no operator’s license.


Other warrants were recently issued by Taylor, after affidavits and motions were filed by the county attorney, on the following defendants who failed to appear for recent hearings:

• Trey M. Williams, also known as Trey M Wiliams, 21, of Brookings, South Dakota, charged with minor in possession of alcohol, alleged a few weeks prior to his 21st birthday; bond set at $1,500, 10%; cited by Nebraska State Patrol trooper east of Brunswick on Highway 20;

• Michael R. Pulis, 46, of Atkinson has three charges, no proof of financial responsibility, operating unregistered vehicle and careless driving; bond set at $1,500, 10%; cited Dec. 21, 2022, by Antelope County deputy following a traffic accident near the intersection of Highway 275 and 513 Avenue;

William Hamernik, 83, of Omaha, charged with no proof of financial responsibility and operating an unregistered vehicle; bond set at $1,500, personal recognizance; cited Nov. 24, 2022, by NSP officer between Clearwater and Ewing on Highway 275;

• Clifton J. Coleman, 28, of Porcupine, South Dakota, charged with possession of open alcohol container; bond set at $1,500, PR; cited by NSP trooper Nov. 23, 2022, west of Clearwater on Highway 275; and

Gilda Perez, 46, of Aberdeen, South Dakota, charged with driving during revocation/impound and speeding; bond set at $1,500, PR; arrested Dec. 27, 2022, by NSP trooper north of Neligh on Highway 14.
