Cowboys ready to ride at Clearwater rough stock challenge

 

Hooked • A bull rider holds on, hoping for an eight second ride, at the 2021 Rough Stock Challenge. Saturday's event, in Clearwater, begins at 7:30 p.m.

Rodeo arena action heats up for a second time this season, in Clearwater, as the local chamber of commerce hosts the second annual Clearwater Rough Stock Challenge.

Competition will begin at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, July 30, in the Gene Snodgrass Arena.

A calcutta will be held prior to the first ride. Elgin Livestock auctioneer, Ted Baum, will handle auction duties.

Justin Boots, with Rocking Plus Rodeo Company, will provide stock for the challenge.

An additional $1,500 added prize money will sweeten the pot in events.

Individuals wanting to battle a bull will be able to sign up for a the ring of fire, following the final bull ride of the night.

Admission for the evening show will be $10 and tickets may be purchased at the gate. Cash only will be accepted.

The admission price includes a dance at the rodeo grounds following the competition.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, featuring area musicians Dave Amick and Cory Delp, will perform.

A full concession stand will be available.
