A 16-year-old Neligh youth is being held at the Northeast Nebraska juvenile detention facility at Madison, following break-ins in downtown Neligh last week.

The juvenile is accused of breaking into two Main Street businesses, Neligh Vape Shop and Fit Stop, on March 21.

The youth, who faces three felony counts, two counts of burglary and a count of theft by unlawful taking, $1,500 - $4,999, appeared before the Honorable Michael Long in the Antelope County courtroom in Neligh on Monday morning. Long found probable cause existed for the youth’s arrest and detention. He vacated a previous order setting bond and ordered the juvenile be held without bond until a detention review hearing is held April 6.
