Kester earns nursing degree from Bryan College of Health Science

Audrey Kester, of Neligh, graduated Dec. 17 from Bryan College of Health Sciences in Lincoln, summa cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing. The ceremony was held at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Lincoln.

To receive summa cum laude designation, a student must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.87 or above.

Kester was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society and was the recipient of three Bryan Foundation scholarships, including the Wayne and Nancy Hester Clinical Scholarship, the Jane G. and Sushil Lacy Scholarship and the Beverly Brown Taylor Scholarship.

Each nursing graduate received the Bryan College of Health Sciences pin of the college seal and the R.N. guard.

The 2016 Neligh-Oakdale graduate is the daughter of Mike and Tami Kester of Neligh and the granddaughter of Marge Beed of Neligh. She has accepted a position in the emergency department at Bryan/LGH West in Lincoln, beginning Jan. 31, 2022. She is scheduled to take the National Counsel Licensure Examination in January.
