December 9, 2021

A winter storm warning is in effect, until midnight, for north central and northeast Nebraska. Snow accumulates on a road near Page, early Friday afternoon. Travel is not advised.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for much of northern and northeast Nebraska, including the Summerland region.

A light dusting of snow is falling in the Summerland area.

The warning remains in effect until midnight. Four to seven inches of snow accumulation is prediction.

Wind gusts up to 35 miles per hour are expected as the storm system moves through the region. Blowing snow could affect visibility.

Travel is discouraged; however, if individuals must travel, precautions - including extra food, water, clothing and emergency items, including a flashlight - are advised.

Road conditions across Nebraska can be accessed by calling 511, downloading the 511 app or visiting 511.nebraska.gov for the latest updates.
