Amy E. Fergusen, 33, of Royal faced the Honorable Donna Taylor last week, in the Antelope County courtroom in Neligh, on a Class 3A felony count, intentional child abuse, no injury, along with two Class 1 misdemeanor counts, third-degree assault and negligent child abuse, no injury. The crimes allegedly took place Oct. 24.

Fergusen requested court-appointed counsel. Taylor found her indigent and appointed public defender Melissa Figueroa. Preliminary hearing is set Dec. 15.

After failing to appear in court Nov. 17 and his subsequent arrest by Lincoln police, Aaron White, 47, of Coleridge appeared Dec. 1 on charges in two cases.

In the first case, a Class 3 misdemeanor, second-degree trespassing, alleged Oct. 4, Taylor granted a motion filed by prosecutor Joe Abler, to revoke bond in the amount of $5,000, 10% cash, posted Oct. 21. Abler cited four causes for revocation, including White’s failure to appear in court and his alleged violation of no contact terms. Taylor set a new bond of $10,000, 10%. Further arraignment is set Dec. 15.

In the second case, he is accused of a Class 3A felony, making terroristic threats Nov. 19. He requested court-appointed counsel. Taylor appointed Figueroa and set further arraignment Dec. 15. A bond hearing was held. White’s motion for a bond reduction was denied. Bond set in the arrest warrant, for $100,000, 10%, is continued. He was remanded to the custody of Antelope County sheriff Robert Moore, pending posting of bond.
