Individuals fined in Holt County court

Jose Ponce, 21, of O’Neill appeared in front of the Honorable Kale Burdick in the Holt County courtroom last week on an infraction count committed May 10, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a Class 3 misdemeanor count that resulted from his failure to appear in court July 7. He was fined $100 and $50, respectively, and assessed $52 costs of prosecution. Ponce was self-represented.

Tyler K. Hanson, 39, of O’Neill faced Burdick for further arraignment on two counts, Count I, speeding, an infraction, and Count II, amended to a Class 3 misdemeanor, nonresident violate revoke/impound order. Burdick fined Hanson $75 and $100, respectively, and taxed him $50 costs. Hanson was represented by Holt County public defender Rod Smith of O’Neill.

Dustin L. Wimmer, 32, of O’Neill pleaded guilty, by waiver, and was fined $100 each for a Class 3 misdemeanor, unauthorized application of graffiti, and careless driving, an infraction.

Both were committed July 9. He was taxed $49 costs.

Thomas El Stein, 65, of O’Neill pleaded guilty, by waiver, to an O’Neill city code violation, failure to correct nuisance, second offense. He was fined $100 and $49 costs.

Alba M. Menjivar Contreras, 65, of Grand Island, pleaded guilty, by waiver, and was fined $50 and $49 costs for a Class 3 misdemeanor, acts declared unlawful - license/driving.
