William D. Anson, 37, of Orchard appeared before the Honorable Donna Taylor in the Antelope County court last Wednesday, May 19, facing a

theft by shoplifting charge. Anson entered a not guilty plea to the Class 2 misdemeanor and requested a jury trial. Pretrial hearing is set June 16. Bond in the amount of $5,000, 10% cash, posted May 13 is continued. A warrant, ordered by Taylor on May 6, was served May 10.
