Tracksters earn medals at Wausa Invite

Sail away • Natalie Stallbaum tosses the discus, Thursday, at the Tom Martin/Wausa Invite at Pierce. She finished 18th, with a throw of 80 feet.

Bobcat track team members brought home medals in four events from the Tom Martin/Wausa Invite, held April 22, in Pierce.

Hadley Cheatum was a triple medal winner, securing medals in the 400m, 800m and 4x100 relay.

Girls' division

The Lady Bobcats finished seventh, scoring 28 points. Norfolk Catholic claimed the team title, with 100 points, while Pierce earned the runner-up trophy, scoring 95 points.

Kylie Hewett sprinted to another medal in the 100m.

Boys' division:

Dalton Rotherham and Trevor Thomson brought home hardware.

The Bobcats finished 10th in the 13-team field, ending with 10 points. Pierce captured the team title, with 133 points. Norfolk Catholic took home the second prize.
