Summerland School inducted 18 new members into the Summerland Chapter of National Honor Society. The ceremony was held Monday evening, in Ewing. Current chapter members and guidance counselors led the ceremony. Applications were accepted from sophomores and juniors who have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.0. Applications were reviewed by a faculty council and membership offers extended.

Established in 1921, National Honor Society recognizes outstanding high school students, with membership of more than one million students who demonstrate the organization's values of scholarship, leadership, service and character.
