Summerland Boys stifled offensively in loss

The Bobcats came up short in the first round of the Summerland Holiday Tournament against the Walthill Bluejays, losing 69-35. In a game were the boys struggled offensively, Kellen Mlnarik led all scorers with seven points. The first quarter started fast, with the Bluejays hitting two three-pointer attempts to grab an early lead. The Bobcats were able to cut into the lead but the Bluejays made several more three-pointers and grabbed a few quick buckets off steals to hold on to the lead the rest of the half and send Summerland into the break down 37-15. The Bluejays shoot well from deep, generating offense off steals from their defensive pressure to secure the win and advance to the championship game. The Bobcats will face off against the CWC Renegades in the consolation game Wednesday, Dec. 30.
