Caleb Louis Ward, 17, of Richland, Washington, died July 13, at Children's Hospital in Seattle, Washington. Caleb was born Sept. 28, 2002, in Kennewick, Washington, to Duane and Rachelle (Bolling) Ward.

Caleb was baptized and confirmed at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Richland. He attended Hanford High School in Richland and spent his mornings before school at Starbucks.

Caleb marched to the beat of his own drum, he was definitely not a follower. Although Caleb did not reach official adulthood, he was well on his way to becoming a man. When he was just 16 years old, he started his own landscaping business. He liked to keep his body fit by swimming and playing basketball. Caleb could often be found building his own computer and working on his Ford F-150. He treasured his time with Maria, his girlfriend. Artie, the family dog, held a special place in his heart.

Caleb is survived by his parents; sister, Grace Ward; girlfriend, Maria Solanilla; grandparents and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by great-grandparents; grandmother, Shirley Behnk Fineran and uncle, Jerod Bolling, in infancy.
