The City of Neligh Economic Development director recently announced the hiring of a new assistant director of economic development.

Brianna Brugman will begin working in Neligh, June 1. Brugman is a native of Albion and anxious to return to northeast Nebraska and make her home in Neligh.

As assistant director of economic development, Brugman will also serve as director for the Neligh Chamber of Commerce and assist with Clearwater economic development.

Brugman is a graduate of the University of Nebraska, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in education and human sciences, majoring in hospitality tourism management, with a minor in business, leadership and communications.

"The Neligh Economic Development office is excited to work with Brugman and looking forward to her contributions to the office, the Neligh Chamber of Commerce and the Village of Clearwater," said director Lauren Sheridan-Simnsen.
