(l-r): Regina Krebs and Carolyn Pedersen were selected to fill vacancies on the Antelope County Board of Commissioners. They will be sworn in, Tuesday, Nov. 12, during the commissioners regular meeting.

Two new Antelope County Commissioners will be sworn in when the group meets in regular session, Tuesday, Nov. 12.

Regina Krebs and Carolyn Pedersen will fill vacancies following the Oct. 15 recall of commissioners Tom Borer and Allen Bentley.

Pedersen will represent District Five, while Krebs will assume duties in District Three.

Antelope County Clerk Lisa Payne, county attorney Joe Abler and county treasurer Deb Branstiter met with potential candidates Thursday, in public session, at the Antelope County Courthouse.

Other candidates interviewed for the District Three seat include Patrick Meuret, of Brunswick; Edmund Schindler, of Neligh and Don Zegers, of Neligh.

Raymond Braband and Keith Heithoff, Elgin residents, applied for the District Five position.

Pedersen previously served as Antelope County Clerk.

Krebs currently sits on the Clearwater Advisory Board of Education, a position she will need to resign from in order to be sworn in at Tuesday's meeting.
