Runners up • Summerland Bobcats volleyball team brings home hardware from the Eagle Classic, Oct. 19, at Lutheran High Northeast, in Norfolk. The Summerland Bobcats finished second at the Eagle Classic, Oct. 19, at Lutheran High NE in Norfolk.
The round-robin tourney began with Summerland sweep over Blair, in identical sets, 25-12.
Ashley Koenig and Sidney Stallbaum landed 7 kills apiece. Kyra Nilson handed out 21 set assists.
In the second match, Summerland handled Niobrara/Verdigre, 25-16 and 25-11.
Tiana Thramer led the Bobcats with 9 kills and 3 solo blocks.
In the third match, Summerland bulldozed South Sioux City, 25-9 and 25-11.
Avery Cheatum sailed 8 service aces across the net.
