Koenig leads Bobcats to victory over Eagles

Three days after losing to O'Neill in the consolation match of the Ord Invite, the Summerland Volleyball team responded with a two-set win, Sept. 24.

The teams met in Creighton.

Ashley Koenig sent 10 kills to the floor, while Sidney Stallbaum landed 7 and Tiana Thramer nailed 6.

Stallbaum recorded 7 solo blocks in the match.

Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family

Three Summerland hitters ended in double figures in the Bobcats' Sept. 26 win over Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family.

The Bobcats claimed the first two sets, 25-17 and 25-21, before dropping the third set, 25-14. The squad pounded out a 25-12 win in the fourth set.

Ashley Koenig finished with 15 kills. Sidney Stallbaum nailed 14 and Tiana Thramer sent a dozen to the floor.

Defensively, four Bobcats tallied double-digit digs, including Avery Cheatum, with 22; Koenig, 17 and Summer Schroeder and Brenna Wagner, 16 apiece.
