After triangular sweep, Bobcats suffer road losses

Something to shout about • Summerland middle hitter Tiana Thramer yells instructions to setter Kyra Nilson during a Sept. 17 match against Creighton. The Bobcats won in two sets.

After controlling the Boyd County Spartans 25-14 in the opening set of a Sept. 17 triangular in Clearwater, the Summerland Bobcats survived a second-set scare, scratching out a 25-23 win.

Brenna Wagner pounded 8 kills in the match, while senior towers Tiana Thramer and Sidney Stallbaum landed 6 and 4 kills, respectively.

In the nightcap, Summerland took control of a scrappy Creighton squad, dishing out back-to-back 25-15 wins.

Thramer found the line 9 times and nailed two solo blocks. Ashley Koenig added 7 kills and 5 digs.
