NET's 'On the Road' tour takes a fall road trip

September 26, 2019

NET, Nebraska's PBS and NPR Stations, is hitting the road this fall to bring a lineup of events and entertainment to Nebraska communities.

Beginning Sept. 26 and ending Oct. 2, the tour includes stops in York, Ord, O'Neill, Neligh and St. Paul.

To kick off the festivities, the "NPR Generation Listen" Listening Party will be in York on Sept. 26. This is an opportunity for young professionals to participate in an engaging and fun social experience. The event will include a podcast and group conversation.

NET leadership will host a series of morning and afternoon "Town Talk" sessions, giving citizens the chance to discuss their communities.

Families have the opportunity to join in on the activities during one of several PBS KIDS Family Events. Children can meet Clifford the Big Red Dog while enjoying story time and a show.

Residents are invited to attend both a taping of NET's arts and humanities radio program "Friday LIVE" and a screening of the NET News documentary "And the Floods Came: Nebraska 2019," which takes an in-depth look at the devastating floods that heavily impacted the state this spring.

To round out the week, residents are encouraged to be part of NET's television audience during the live production of "Big Red Wrap-Up," Nebraska's most interactive weekly television football show.

Events in O'Neill and Neligh include:
