Blair Hillman, 39, from Long Beach, California, and formerly from Wynot, died Jan. 19 after a short illness. Leave it to Blair to enter and exit this world on the same day - he always had a way of being unique. There will be an open house Feb. 15 at the Wynot Fire Hall from 4 to 8 p.m. A memorial service and video tribute will be at 5:30 p.m., for his family and friends. Clearwater, Ewing and Orchard school boards covered a long list of agenda items, Nov. 20, during a three and one-half hour meeting, in Ewing. Discussion focused on the new Summerland school district, which will take effect June 6, 2020. Nebraska Extension and USDA Farm Service Agency in Nebraska will host a series of farm bill education meetings next month to assist producers as they begin to make farm bill-related program decisions. The 2018 Farm Bill, signed into law last December, reauthorized the existing agriculture risk coverage and price loss coverage safety net programs that were in the 2014 Farm Bill, however producers will need to make new program enrollment decisions over the coming months.
