Summerland music students traveled to Ainsworth, Friday, for the district music contest. Of the 13 solo or group entries, performers earned ones, or superior ratings, in a dozen of the events.

High school music instructor Emily Heithoff announced the band and choir each earned a superior rating.

Adrienne Parker, Lenora Kester and Emma Petersson all received a one for vocal solos.

Parker and Kester presented a duet and received a one. Jadyn Hobbs joined Parker for a duet and earned a one.

Petersson and Parker received a two for their duet performance.

Four musicians presented instrumental solos.

Parker received a one for a trumpet solo. Kester and Hobbs both earned ones for flute solos.

Raina Krebs played trombone and her piece received a one.

Parker and Amor Zermeno presented an instrumental duet and received a one.
