A new housing unit in Ewing is one step closer to reality.

Village chairman James Ramold confirmed funds for construction of a two-unit duplex, from the Nebraska Affordable Housing Trust Fund, were received last week.

During the village trustees’ Feb. 13 meeting, Carla Kimball, with the Central Nebraska Economic Development District, said the organization will work with village officials to establish a timeline for construction.
