ORDINANCE NO. 439

VILLAGE OF EWING

An ordinance of the Village of Ewing, Nebraska, adopting zoning regulations, a zoning map and an extraterritorial zoning jurisdiction map for the Village of Ewing, Nebraska, pursuant to Neb. Rev. Stat. §19-901, providing when said ordinance shall become effective and repealing all ordinances in conflict herewith.

Be it ordained by the chairman and board of trustees of the Village of Ewing Nebraska.

Section 1. There is hereby zoning regulations for the Village of Ewing, Nebraska, which shall be designated as “Zoning and Subdivision Regulations of Village of Ewing, Nebraska.” These zoning regulations for the Village of Ewing were created in accordance with the Ewing comprehensive plan designed to accommodate and anticipate long-range future growth based upon population and economic projections for the community. These zoning regulations for the Village of Ewing shall regulate and restrict the height, number of stories and size of buildings and other structures, the size of yards, courts and other open spaces, the density of population, and the location and use of buildings, structures and land for trade, industry, residence or other purposes in Ewing, Nebraska and the extraterritorial jurisdiction extended from the corporate limits thereof; to regulate and restrict the erection, construction, reconstruction, alteration, repair or use of buildings, structures or land in the aforementioned area; to divide the said area into zoning districts and providing for the boundaries of said districts and in the manner in which said districts shall be determined, established and enforced, and from time to time amended, supplemented or changed; by making certain exceptions; by creating the office of zoning administrator and board of adjustment; by providing for the enforcement of and the penalties for the violation of any of its provisions, for the purpose of promoting health safety, morals and general welfare of the community.


Section 2. The Village of Ewing, Nebraska, hereby has a zoning map and an extraterritorial zoning jurisdiction map for the purpose of dividing the village’s jurisdiction into zoning districts.

Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

Section 4. The requirement that this ordinance be read by title on three different days is hereby suspended by a vote of at least four members of the board of trustees of the Village of Ewing.

Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage, approval and publication as required by law; providing penalties for the violations of the various chapters, articles and sections thereof and providing for publication and distribution of this ordinance and the zoning and subdivision regulations for the Village of Ewing themselves.
