Royal Community Days events moved to auditorium

Royal Community Day events have been moved to the Royal Auditorium, due to weather conditions.

A severe line of thunderstorms moved through the Summerland region, Saturday afternoon, prompting events at the Royal Community Day celebration to be moved to the Royal Auditorium.

Amish baked goods are available for sale there. Dick Haskins will be onsite to talk about his new book. The barbecue, sponsored by the Royal Economic Development group, will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with silent auction items available also.

Royal Roping Club still plans to hold its roping event at the arena, located behind the auditorium.

Whiplash RJ still play at Royal Bar & Grill, from 8 p.m. to midnight.
