Tri-County traveled to Neligh, June 8, for junior Legion baseball action.

According to Coach Jeff Shabram, the Titans played much more inspired baseball than the week before and kept the game within striking distance going into the final last half inning, only to lose 5-13.

Wyatt Shabram was the starting pitcher and threw his max pitches for the evening. Connor Thomson and Landon McAllister came in to pitch in relief.

The Titan bats were hitting well Wednesday, but for the first four innings, every hit found a Neligh defender.

The offense came alive in the fifth inning, scoring five runs to make a close game of it.

"We were aggressive at the plate and on the bases in that inning," Shabram said. "It was fun to see the boys playing that style of baseball. But again, it was more untimely errors that led to the Titan demise, along with leaving too many runners in scoring position to end innings."

Shabram said overall, the effort was there and his squad needs to bring its level of execution up to that effort level.

Scoring runs for Tri-County were Connor Thomson, Wyatt Shabram, Jake Schroeder, William Drobny and Landon McAllister.

Dane Miller, Isaac Pavlik, and Riley Saul contributed with clutch RBI's.

Joseph Pavelka, Keenan McAllister and Kaiden Bauer did a nice job patrolling the outfield.

The Titans were scheduled to play June 14, at Randolph. On Friday, June 17, they will face a tough Creighton/Plainview team at home, at 7 p.m.
