Pool party • (l-r): Alaina Williby, Ansley Williby and Journey Shaver spend time in the sun, June 2, when the Orchard swimming pool opened for the summer.

The Orchard Swimming Pool opened for the season on Thursday, June 2. The pool is open everyday, from 1 to 5 p.m., and it is open for night swimming on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m in June.

In July, the pool will be open everyday, regular hours, with night swim offered Sunday through Friday nights from 6 to 8 p.m.

Daily admittance is $4 per person or $2 for night swim only. Children, three and under, are admitted free. The pool also has season passes available, and both private and public swimming lessons will be offered. Private swim lessons are thirty minutes for four days, for a cost of $60 per child. Public swim lessons are $25 per child and 45 minutes for four days. More information is available by calling the pool at 402-893-3737 or by message on the Facebook Page: Orchard Swimming Pool.

The pool has new staff this season. Kylee McManigal is the pool manager, with Angie Robertson as the assistant manager. Lifeguards are Preslie Robertson, Lydia Robertson, Carter Bergman, Jaycee Reynolds, Wyatt Shabram, Preston Hoke, Dylan Rotherham, Adrian Mejia and Omar Mejia.

"It is great to work with new guards and help them love their summer job," McManigal said.

In July, the pool will also host a free swim party and activities during Orchard Free Days.

"We have a fun environment and great staff to help the pool run safely. I am looking forward to all the new faces we will get to see this year at the pool and the past swimmers," McManigal said.
