May 2022 primary election results

 

Nebraska polls closed at 8 p.m., and ballots are being counted at area courthouses.

Update: 11:05 p.m.:

Jim Pillen has won the Republican primary in the Nebraska governor's race.

With 810 precincts reporting, Pillen received 72,197 votes.

All election results are unofficial until verified by a county's canvassing board.

8:15 p.m.

Nebraska polls closed at 8 p.m., May 10, and early results from across the state show Brett Lindstrom leading Jim Pillen, in the Republican race for Governor. Lindstrom currently has 20,987 votes, or 41%, while Pillen has received 29.1% - or 14,885 - of votes cast.

Charles Herbster lags behind, earning 18.4%. He has received 9,431 votes.

On the Democratic ticket, Carol blood has recorded 42,057 votes, totaling 91.7%. Challenger Roy Harris has received 8.3% of the vote.


Local and other statewide elections will also be reported.

The Advocate-Messenger will update vote counts from Antelope and Holt counties as they are counted.

Jim Pillen has been declared the winner of the Nebraska Republican primary. Eighty-five percent of the precincts have reported.

Pillen received 59, 514 votes. Charles Herbster received 51, 020 votes, or 28.7%, while Brett Lindstrom received 49,318 votes, or 27.7%.
