Students will have opportunities to earn points for their class, with a spirit trophy being awarded at the end of the week.

Spirit week begins with five opportunities to show off school spirit. Students are encouraged to

wear a jersey for their favorite team on Monday.

On Tuesday, students can dress in western wear or don a preppy look for country versus country club day. Elementary students will be able to follow a country or cowboy theme for dressing up.

Everyone is invited to show their American pride and patriotism on Wednesday.

Junior and senior high students will walk the red carpet, Thursday, when they dress as their favorite Hollywood star. Elementary students may dress as a cartoon character.

All students and staff are encouraged to show off their school spirit, Friday, for Bobcat Day. Dress head to toe in Bobcat blue, black and silver.

Other activities planned throughout the week include a trivia contest, sidewalk chalk decorating contest for grades seven through 12, door decorating contest and a class skit or lip-sync competition.

On Friday, Oct. 1, students and staff only will have a pep rally, which will include music by the pep band, introduction of royalty court and class attendants, elementary class cheers, speeches by coaches and junior and senior high class skits or lip sync presentations.

The homecoming dance is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 2, from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m., in the commons area at the school.

The dance is open to only high school students, who will be breathalyzed when entering.

Student Council Advisor Amy Selting said doors will open at 7 p.m. for photos.
