Road projects approved during hearing

Holt County Supervisors gave the nod to 33 projects with an estimated price tag of $25.9 million, during a Feb. 16 hearing for the county’s one- and six-year road plan.

The plan includes bridge replacement and repairs, overlay projects and culvert replacement across the county.

The Ewing area will see improvements after several projects are completed.

A .2-mile stretch near the intersection of 848 Road and 509 Avenue feature a bridge replacement estimated at $400,000.

A five-mile stretch of county road, from 846 to 851 Road, along 508 Avenue, is scheduled to receive asphalt overlay, with projected costs running $1.5 million.

Bridge repair, totaling $90,000, will occur near the Hawk Bridge, at 852 Road and 500 Ave.

Page-area residents will see improvements, also.

A 4.5-mile stretch of 504 Avenue, from 872 Road south, will undergo a $1.5 million overlay project.

Exact dates for projects were not released.
