Summerland Public Schools announced, Saturday, that district sites will have a late start two days next week.

The district's notification system sent a message to district patrons at approximately 11:48 a.m., that classes on Monday and Tuesday will begin at 10 a.m., due to predicted dangerous wind chills.

As of Saturday morning, Holt County remains in a wind chill advisory until noon, Monday, Feb. 15. According to the National Weather Service, wind chills, as low as 30 degrees below zero, are possible.

Antelope County is in a wind chill watch, until Tuesday, Feb. 16. Areas in the wind chill watch can expect wind chills to dip to as low as 40 degrees below zero.

Dangerous wind chills may cause frostvite on exposed skin, in as little as 10 minutes.

Caution is advised. Individuals who must be outside should wear appropriate clothing, a hat and gloves.
