Lady Bobcats outlast Creighton

Bound for a win • Hadley Cheatum secures a rebound during Summerland's Jan. 12 game against Creighton. The Lady Cats won, 54-34.

In a Jan. 12th road game, the Lady Bobcats came away with a win against Creighton. The final score was 54-34.

Offensively, they were led by Brenna Wagner, who finished with a solid 27 points against a good Creighton defense.

The Lady Bobcats started off well and built a solid lead in the first quarter, leading 14-5.

The Summerland girls continued to carry the momentum into the second quarter, whenthey were able to take commanding 24-11 lead into the locker room.

The second half was a little closer, with the Bulldogs cutting into the lead and ending the third quarter only down 32-23.

The Lady Bobcats got things going again late in the fourth quarter, when they took over and ended the game, 54-34, to grab a solid road win.


Coach Greg Appleby said, "We are getting really solid contributions out of our entire team. We are getting scoring out of many different players to go along with Brenna Wagner's solid game."
