Funeral Service for Nellie J. Knapp, age 86 of Clearwater, NE will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Clearwater with Pastor Ryan Janke, officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Concordia Lutheran Cemetery, rural Clearwater. Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater is handling the arrangement. Nellie Jane (Otte) Knapp was born on September 13, 1934 to Adolph and Margaret (Barnard) Otte at Madison, NE. Her family moved to Neligh in her early youth and she graduated from Neligh High School with the Class of 1952. On October 25, 1953 married Wayne Knapp. They were married and lived together on a farm west of Clearwater for 25 years then she moved into Clearwater. Nellie enjoyed making quilts and sewing for the family and friends, knitting, tatting, puzzles, and playing the piano. She enjoyed time with her children and grandchildren.

Survived by her children: Pam Knapp of O'Neill, NE; Dan (Carrie) Knapp of Paxton, NE; and Debra (Doug) Sanne of Clearwater, NE; and Mike (Patty) Knapp of Thorton, CO. 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Robert Otte and Donald Otte.
